Employment Cost Index
A report of compensation costs that is released in the final month of the each quarter. It is an index-based indicator that presents the changes in wages, bonuses and benefits from the previous quarter, displayed on a per-hour basis. This allows businesses to see the exact costs of workers in relation to the cost of production. This index also includes the cost of pensions, health-care, and death benefits.
