Nesting refers to the practice of manufacturing parts in the most effective way possible. For example, in using design programs that determine if there is extra space on a piece of sheet metal, the company has the capacity to exponentially increase their productivity. By fitting as many parts into one piece of raw metal, costs can be cut and production time can be increased.
